The World Hypertension League is proud to present an overview video featuring Prof. Gianfranco Parati, MD.
The World Hypertension League (WHL) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and controlling high blood pressure — one of the world’s most common and dangerous health conditions.
Since 1984, WHL has worked closely with the World Health Organization and leading experts to strengthen hypertension awareness, prevention, and management — particularly in low- and middle-income countries where the burden is greatest. Through eight Regional Offices, over 70 national societies, and 30 associate members, WHL connects professionals worldwide in the shared mission to improve blood pressure control.
Our global initiatives include World Hypertension Day (May 17) and the Children’s Art Program, inspiring awareness and healthy lifestyles across generations.
WHL offers free training in blood pressure measurement, professional webinars, the Journal of Human Hypertension, and a quarterly newsletter to support ongoing education and collaboration. We also honor excellence in research, advocacy, population health, and salt reduction through annual WHL Awards — and bring professionals together at the World Hypertension Congress to advance best practices in hypertension control.
Together, we can prevent hypertension, save lives, and build a healthier world — one blood pressure reading at a time.
