Session Description: This session introduces you to the approach and process of being a good peer reviewer. You will also learn about the typical roles and responsibilities of a reviewer, an editorial board member, a deputy editor, and an editor-in-chief, as well as their expectations.

Part 2: Sensitivity and Specificity August 15, 2024
Session Description: This session will introduce the basic statistical concepts for diagnostic testing, including the impact of pretest probability on clinical decision-making. You will also learn about identifying the elements of a high-value screening test and approaches to apply statistical tools to make high-value treatment decisions.

Part 3: Predictive Value and Diagnosis September 12, 2024
Session Description: This session will describe the accuracy of diagnosis tests and prediction tools, focusing on the value and interpretations of assessment metrics. It will also cover the application of predictive values in epidemiology and evidence-based medicine.

Session Description: This session will introduce hypothesis testing with the ROC curve approach. It will also go over how to describe the use of the ROC curve methodology and introduce the Area under the ROC curve (AUC) methodology.
